Teen Tech Week was a huge success and great fun!Monday we had "old school" technology with Dennis where students got to mess around with some of the gadgets that their parents thought were the new and amazing thing, from record and mini-disk players to a reel to reel projector and rotary phone. This display will still be out for the rest of March for patrons, teen and adult, to interact with.
Tuesday brought to us to the drawing board where students had the chance to build their own computer and see what it's like, featuring our very own technology guru Joe Huff.
Wednesday, we had Cara and Ryan down to help out with some digital photography and video editing.
Thursday our other technology guru Erland came down and students delved into the inner workings of a computer, taking it apart and learning about all the parts inside there.
Friday Elissa had created an Internet scavenger hunt and students searched the web for answers to the questions on there, exploring quirky websites from creating their own meme to finding maybe too much information when entering their names into a gigantic web search.
The scavenger hunt is still available and everyone who does that gets another name entered into the drawing for our raffle that will be at the end of the month. Also, don't forget to vote for your favorites: best TV show, best song, best video game and best movie. Every vote counts!
